Nominator's project description
| Professor Manga is internationally well known for his unique and innovative approaches to fundamental questions of the dynamics of the solid earth, volcanism and the actions of fluids within the crust. He combines theory and experiment, field and simulation, effortlessly and is a master at casting seemingly complex challenges into scalable simplicity. His work has raised the standards of solid earth sciences substantially leaving great advantages for those to follow. During his stay in Germany, Professor Manga will work on topics of magma and volcano dynamics. |
